Course Glimpse

To develop capability in Human Resource (HR) service and impact, this workshop is offered to enhance individual capability that will implement improved HR services and aid business/organisation success.

-The Modern role of HR

Traditional Human Resource practices would only involve solving personnel management and administration issues However, the modern version of Human Resource Management blends best HR practices to align with company objectives. The modern version of HR management also has a wider variety of tasks to accomplish – for example, modern HR management needs to focus on, recruitment and selection, training, performance management and much more. This course will teach participants more about how traditional HR can be converted to modern HR, and lays the foundation for newer HR best practices.

-Developing key HR Capabilities

According to research conducted by Cornell University, the most critical competencies for HR professionals, both, to advance their career as well as for the betterment of the organization are as follows; business acumen (analyzing the needs of the business and reacting accordingly), organizational leadership and navigation, change management and HR technology and analytics. These capabilities were not paid much attention to previously, but as the business environment rapidly changes, the HR individual of today must possess a deep understanding and expertise of HR as a whole and external factors which could affect the business to truly make an impact on their organization. This course will teach attendees how to develop and strengthen these core capabilities every modern HR professional needs.

Target/Suitable attendees for these workshops are middle/junior level HR practitioners and/or line managers wishing to increase their understanding and capability in HR best practice. Class sizes are preferred at 6 to 24 attendees but this can be amended to accommodate organisation and individual needs.
