Creating Strategic Intent

To understand how to create strategic intent we must first understand what strategic intent is and what it entails. The basic definition of strategic intent is as follows; the foundation of the standard strategic management process the organization follows. Strategic intent is also a statement which provides individuals in the company with a long-term vision. Strategic Intent entails; vision, mission, business definition and the business model itself. This course will elaborate more on how to create, implement and follow the strategic intent for the greater success of the organization.

People Alignment

People alignment in the simplest of terms is getting the people in your organization to fully implement your strategic intent. This is probably one of the most overlooked, yet one of the most vital components of your company, if hearts and minds are allied, everything will fall into place. People alignment has often been touted as ‘difficult and expensive’ by professionals who’ve been in the business for a long time, however, they also state that the return on investment is extremely high as the long-term gains far outweigh the costs incurred. This course will elaborate more on how to align people, it will map out clear communication strategies, training strategies and plans you would need to gain the full support of all your employees.
