To attain and sustain competitive advantage for a business has become increasingly difficult. The demands on those in leadership roles (or aspiring to those roles) have subsequently grown in size and complexity. Views on what makes an effective leader are many and varied but in this programme, attendees will experience a focused and deliverable approach to leadership i.e. the essentials required for success.
–Progress in Leadership Thought
Leadership emerged as a skill during the era of industrialization, specifically with the most recognizable and possibly history’s biggest business tycoon, Henry Ford. What Henry Ford exemplified was that forward-thinking and progressive leaders, although potentially receiving a lot of flak initially, are often seen later as revolutionaries. So how exactly does a leader cultivate a culture of progression? How does a manager get into that mindset that constant progression is the only way to go for the future of the organization? This course is designed for that very purpose, leaders will learn about strategies, implementation techniques and much more!
-The Engaged Leader
Being an impactive leader can come with time, with dedication and with experience – it is not just about setting targets and achieving them but also how you get to the target and how you can inspire a team to follow you and help you get to your company’s goals. However, as times change leadership styles may also need to change as the demands of the marketplace and the led are shaped and altered. As different generations enter the workforce, leadership is becoming (has become) a different set or series of challenges but primarily focussed on “engaging” a very different (4 generations) workforce. This course teaches you how to become the engaged and effective leader that your employees desire and your organisation needs for success!
Target/Suitable attendees for these workshops are middle/senior managers and leaders wishing to increase their understanding and capability in leadership best practice. Class sizes are preferred at 6 to 24 attendees but this can be amended to accommodate organisation and individual needs.
